This project was all about compairing books and understanding why they were banned. We chose a catagory that interested us and read the classic book that went along with it. My group chose the theme 'Identity & Culture' and our classic book was Catcher in the Rye. After reading our individual books and Catcher in the Rye, my group decided our books represented the theme better then the classic. We also decided out books should not be banned and explained why as well. The project was all about justifying why we chose the book(s) we did and why our books should be banned or not. My personal book (which what what I was compairing to Catcher in the Rye) was Fun Home by Alice Bechdel. We also had to write essays about our personal book, defending our opinion on whether it should be banned or not.
